Hong Kong's Best Dog Parks and Inclusive Parks for Pets

Thanks to lobbying by animal welfare organisations, such as the SPCA (Hong Kong), the Government has made effort to expand the number of pet-friendly areas in Hong Kong, in recent years and now boasts 180 pet-inclusive parks. However, not all dog parks and inclusive parks for pets are created equal, and we're here to help you distinguish between them by creating this round up of our favourite spots!

Cyberport Waterfront Park

This waterfront park is a popular spot for families and dog owners, with grass fields for all to enjoy. The pet-friendly Cyberport Mall is nearby with plenty of choice for dog-friendly restaurants, cafes and even has a pet shop, The Barkyard, so you can pick up a treat for your pet before heading home.

East Coast Park Precinct

The newest addition to the pet-inclusive waterfront space is the East Coast Park Precinct, which makes use of the space beneath the Island Eastern Corridor to provide some shelter.

Fanling Golf Course

The Fanling Golf Course opened it's doors to the public in 2023 and opens daily for all to enjoy. It even comes with a public carpark, conveniently located at the doorstep, which and charges a small fee. Kai Tak Cruise Terminal Park

This 23,000 square metre park is located at the roof of the Kai Tak Cruise Terminal Building and comes with a beautiful lawn, viewing platform, water garden and fountain plaza, overlooking

Penfold Park

Arguably one of the most popular dog parks in Hong Kong is Penfold Park, managed by The Hong Kong Jockey Club. The infield of the Sha Tin Racecourse spans 20 acres and is a popular destination for dogs and owners to socialise.

Victoria Peak Garden


Victoria Peak Garden is a picturesque spot located up at the peak, well-connected to the trails and with an immaculate grass lawn. Walk down to the Peak Circle Walk for a gentle scenic walk towards the pet-friendly Peak Galleria and grab your pup an ice-cream from The Barkyard or Snack Baby!

West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade

The West Kowloon Waterfront Promenade is a popular destination amongst families and dog owners alike, with its stunning views across the harbour, grass lawns and handful of al fresco dining options. There's even an off-leash pet zone located in the Art Park to let your pups run off that extra energy. Not only is it a great day out for the whole family, but also makes for a good spot to catch the sunset.

Wan Po Road Pet Garden

This dog park is one of the largest in Hong Kong at 12,800 square meters, and boasts its very own car park, toilet, pet activity areas and is equipped with a host of facilities for its visitors such as pet latrines, dog poo collection bins, a pet shower area, lawns and areas to shelter from the rain.
